Why Bother Being Fit?

Here are some reasons why I run, being fit, do P90X, being a fitness coach, eating right most of the time, and a bunch of other stuff...
  • Watch my children graduate
  • Watch my children get married
  • Hug my wife
  • Kiss my wife
  • Babysit my eventual grandchildren
  • Change myself for the better to change the world for the better, as a result my children will step into a better place.
  • More to come!

P90X-Day 90-Final Results and Pictures!

The results that Irene and I have achieved have been amazing.

Regardless of the number of marathons and races, I struggled with slimming down and toning up.  This was the first time, people really noticed the changes to my body.  Friends commented that my shoulders gotten broader and my waistline was smaller.  I did my best to tie my pants up with my belt, and now it looks like baggy clown pants!

As for my wife, she looks hotter than ever.  I am so proud of her "Bringing it, every night especially after work when she gets home at 10pm."  We continue to press play on that DVD Player!
We are looking forward to purchasing a new wardrobe, especially new suits for my friend's and my cousin's upcoming weddings!

Here are some comments that my son, Zachary said just recently.  As we walked around Costco, for some grocery shopping. I stopped and grab a sample morsel of havarti cheese.  With the sliver in my mouth, my son says, "Do you want to do another round of P90X?"  Laughter echoed in the warehouse, and I hugged my little boy.

I came close to many of my fitness goals.  How this all started, was that I wanted to run faster to qualify for the Boston Marathon.  Originally my weight goal was to get down to 170 lbs.  However, as my waist line started to shrink from 42 down to 36, and now 34.  I realized that my body wasn't designed to look like a wire.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but the one thing that suprised me the most was that I could grab the bottom of my feet as I did the seated straight legged stretch.  The proud feeling that I felt that evening was of astonishment and amazement.

One of the reasons for me taking on P90X was to improve my running times, and that was it.  I really just wanted get my workouts done sooner.  Overall I have dropped close to a 2 minutes off my pace.

My next step is to complete the Vermont City Marathon in Burlington, VT at the end of May.  Irene and I plan on doing another round of P90X after the marathon, however, it will be modified to allow for our running schedule as I challenge myself to qualify for the Boston Marathon and Irene will do the Wineglass Marathon in Corning, NY

Again, I want to thank Scott and Gail Janicola for introducing P90X and the Team Beachbody World.  And I will do my best to pay it forward to help and motivate others to reach their fitness and health goals!  So, I would like to invite everyone to join me at my Fit Club for a great workout and support to reach your fitness goals!  We meet most Tuesdays, and please RSVP for your spot!

Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions!

Bring it,
Noah

Event Name: Steamtown Marathon 2011
Date & Time: October 09, 2011 08:00 AM
Location: Race starts at Forest City High School, Forest City, PA. Finishes in Downtown Scranton, PA.

Lookout Dwight from the Office.  I just signed up for the Steamtown Marathon which finishes in Scranton PA, after my wife has been accusing me of procrastination!

This will be the race that I will test my metal and see if I am a real runner.  The plan is to run a time of 3 hours and 20 minutes to qualify for the Legendary Boston Marathon.

This should be exciting, and Irene is doing the Wineglass Marathon the Sunday before!  Both races are mostly downhill!

P90X-Day 82-Changing things around with Shaun T

Today, Irene, Jun (Irene's Cousin), about 200 Fitness Enthusists, and I rocked the Ballroom of the Hyatt Hotel in Hauppuage with some Hip Hop Abs and Insanity's Shaun T.  Irene and I were not sure what to expect.
Shaun T's style is quite different from Tony's, however both bring the intensity in different ways.  Shaun T reminded me of Will Smith, only Shaun T is probably bigger.  In Insanity's Cardio Abs, Shaun T was all business, so it was great to see him be very cordial and relaxed as he lead the program in a bunch of high cardio moves that made me stop in my tracks.

Jun is actually in her 5th week of Insanity, and is loving her results, so she was prepared for what was to come.  Irene really kept up with the moves, while I was challenged with the different moves, as usual confused (2 left feet syndrome).  It reminded me of when I started P90X and I was doing my best to keep up, and now I can keep up with Tony Horton.

Towards the end of the program, the sweat was pouring down my forehead, and my workout shirt was soaked.  Now that was a great workout! Irene and I plan to take on Insanity in the coming months.

Well, I am still training for the Vermont City Marathon, so I decided to be dropped off about 5 miles away from home.  Irene and the kids did alittle grocery shopping and I ran home!  I really enjoyed that run!

When I got home, they rest of the family did also.  Then Irene and Emily ran to school and back to prepare for the Japan Day Run on Mother's Day.  As soon as they got home, Elijah led us in some stretching.

After dinner, Irene and I did some Yoga X to get our fix for some Tony Horton an P90X.  That was the smart DVD to do after doing some Insane moves with Shaun T and running 5 miles, I need to make sure my muscles get too tight for tomorrow's 10 miles run.

Dig Deeper!
